It's Been A While...

I know, I know. I'm bad at keeping up with this blog, but now I have the "drive" that comes from a New Year's resolution list!

I have a lot of things that I would like to cover this year in this blog, and I would like to introduce my new, slightly less wordy photo blog on Tumblr! Check it out at

But for right now, I would like to kick off this new year with a couple of fashion ideas from my recent trip to Chicago! I meant to post these earlier but they would't go through, and since I'm not tech savvy it took a while. But here they are for you're enjoyment!

I took these photos everyday I was in Chicago and felt they would be good inspiration! I know that I always like to look at pre made outfits and then try to recreate them, it helps a lot. You might not completely agree with my style, but I like to go for the flirty chic type of look. (A lot of skirts and accessories!) Keep in mind you won't agree with me and that the big idea is to dress for YOU and not anyone else!

Keep things light with a bright accessory, for example, grey pants
and a solid sweater. You will warm up those colder winter nights with this bright hat!
Hat, Old Navy, $10; Sweater, Old Navy, $15; Pants, UniQlo, $19

Whenever I am in a flirtatious mood a mini skirt is my best friend. It fits to your body
and accents your natural curves in a tasteful way, but the key is to
wear them right! Make sure you have something slightly bigger on top so that you
don't seem too risky. I usually wear them with a belt as well to make the outfit more mature!
Mini Skirt, Forever 21, $7; Centra Park Shirt, Old Navy, $8; Necklace, boutique, $50

I especially like this outfit, mainly because of all of the different colors.
A good tip to know is that you can look good in multiple colors if they have the same bases.
A big sweater with a skirt and knitted tights is a cute outfit for a warmer day in winter!
You don't have to sacrifice your figure either, just belt the sweater to pronounce your
waistline! Keep things simple and remember to have a good bag, I really like the kind
that has a handle and a body strap!
Sweater, Old Navy, $15; Skirt, Urban Outfitters, $25; Tights, H&M, $9; Bag, Nordstrom Rack, $75

Stay in tuned for more posts!
