Check it Out

I know I always give you guys clothing at lower prices (or I try to), but today I just feel the need to share this with you! I found this article in Teen Vogue about Ferragamo Flats. If you don't know, Ferragamo is a more well known designer that has some really cool items! I like the shoes personally, but some say I'm a "shoe enthusiast" so I guess I live up to my name!

Anyways, this is possibly one of the coolest and most heart-renching thing I have ever seen! The shoes are expensive, but it's almost worth it to customize your own shoes! I really like it and please check it out even if you can't get them, it's still fun.

Make- A- Necklace!

One thing I love to do is go to a jewelers and create the perfect necklace! It's not super expensive and you get exactly what you want!

I like to have things that are represent my goals, for example, wanting to go
to Paris and New York. I added my lucky penny and a small camera charm
to make it even more personal!
$15, PARIS NEW YORK;South Haven Art Fair, Michigan; $1 charm; $2 penny holder

Try to make your necklace say something about you, not just little charms that look pretty. It's a statement piece and conversation topic when you where something that really means something to you. What I like to do is go to antique shops and find cool keys or charms, something that looks really cool and isn't something that you would find at Claire's or another brand name accessory store. You will get so many compliments on your necklace because it is so unique and YOU!

This was just a small necklace that my friend and I made before she moved. Add an
old key from an antique shop and a ring from Bookmarc by Marc Jacobs
(Because your like me and can't afford anything else by him) and your set!

Menswear!

So this is new to me, but I really want to try to widen my audience so guys, I have some style tips!
I, once again, am going to bring out key parts from an outfit that my friend wore today. He's more of the 'skater-boy" type, but he has some definite fashion sense!

Keep things simple and change it up! keep things fresh but have a
signature feature, like a hat or necklace to make it you!

First of all, NO SAGGING! We (women) don't think it's attractive, and yes this is fairly biased to my personal opinion, but I rather not see what color of boxers your wearing that day.

Fist of all the shirt is really great! I love graphic tee's, for myself and on others. They're great conversational pieces that can tell a lot about your personality. Plus, they draw people (ladies) in and you'll receive a lot of compliments. Button-down, collared shirts are also attractive and can be a great alternative to the graphic tee. Just don't over load on patterns or colors. Remember, their is a tradeoff. You dull down the shirt for the shorts and vise-versa! But, of course, add your own flare to this outline and do what your comfortable with!

Personally, I really like cargo pants and the pants seen in the photo. I enjoy guys that are casual-classy, borderline preppy, which has become more popular. Guys that wear that type of clothing give off this sense of "I care about my style to a point." Colored shorts are stylish, but once again, don't do anything your not comfortable with! If you don't like colored pants, don't wear them! You can still pull off this look without them.

Outfit Ideas!

I don't usual give full outfits, just little parts and then let your imagination pull the piece together. This post is to give you inspiration, add your own flare and accessories to make it you!

Pair your outfit with some colored converse to get a simple, casual look.
I also like the graphic bracelets to give some more depth to the outfit
and they are great conversation pieces!
$11, Shirt; Urban Outfitters, Skirt; Uniqlo, $35; SAMS
I floral or patterned shirt is perfect with a plain, monotone skirt or pants. You bring others eye in towards your shirt, which can be super helpful for some of us more "flat chested" people.

Side note, this comment is not to make anyone self conscious about their bodies at all. The world of Fashion sets this outline of how girls, and guys, should look, when in reality no one fits that image. And we shouldn't try to! I know you have all heard this before, and I don't want to lecture you all on treating yourself right and not comparing yourself to others (which you shouldn't). Instead I want to tell you that it doesn't help to hate on your body or wish to be like others, but to think of yourselves as beautiful individuals and wear things that make you comfortable and confident!

This outfit shows off her curves in a subtle way. When your more curvy then clothing that just accentuates your body is perfect! When your don't have as prominent curves tighter clothing achieves the same effect. Just remember to be you and have fun with your clothes!

Menswear and Other News!

I am going to be coming out with some posts on men's fashion, so please tell your friends about this blog! I would love to hear from my viewers as well as get some new ones!

Plus, a big shout out to Teen Vogue Magazine! I love seeing what's in (even though it might be slightly out of my price range) and finding things in my own closet that imitate the fashion shown. It's super easy to shop in your own closet when you get some new insight!

Thank you all for everything!

Must Have: Chubby Sticks

You must have some lip color with you all the time! I love my chubby sticks, they stain your lips while hydrating and adding a little gloss! Perfect for a quick touch-up or a casual outing. I love colors that are natural on me, that way you look flawless in seconds!

Red, Red, Red!

This week we explore this wonderful and stunning color! When wearing red be sure to tone down everything else. You don't want to look too crazy colorful! Yet I am always a fan for a couple of colored pieces with some red lipstick. If you can pull it off, then do it! That's what fashion's about, after all. You express yourself through your clothing. If it's not "you" and you don't feel comfortable in it, then it's not true "fashion". Always wear what you love and don't worry about what others might think, if it's you then you shouldn't feel self conscious!

Add some color to your day with a sassy pout.
Who knows, you might even get some looks from your crush!

Anyways, I love my red heels! They are super comfortable and sassy, perfect for a "feeling pretty" day! Wear them with a dress, like in the photo, and you'll get compliments from your peers! But don't limit yourself to dresses, mini skirts and skinny jeans are also fun options!

I got this navy blue beauty at a small boutique in Union Pier, South Haven.

You will turn heads with this stunning necklace! Big necklaces, along with chain necklaces, are in this season and you can usually find them anywhere. Pair a statement necklace with a plain top and skinny jeans for a casual look, or a subtle dress for a more dressy look!
